I think that is what it has devolved into due to a lack of leadership or central direction. It could still be something if the right people were at the top.

yep.... it's just plain wrong, to take advantage of new home buyers, then have your buddy set up some pretty wall street stuff actually BETTING on those mortgages to fail...and then.. give your execs a million dollars for doing such a GOOD job, on fucking his fellow american.. yeah, that's how it's supposed to work...

heaven forbid we show some integrity...

you know integrity is, it is saying.. hey.. i realize, i got lucky, i realize i had parents who were a little better off than most people, this allowed me to avoid getting fucked on a mortgage, like many young people my age did.... i figure the best thing i can do is support the movement that's blew the whistle on these evil bankers, and ceo's... why is that i can be comfortable when they cannot, why can i be comfortable when the man who moved his family to a new land to give them a better way of life.. why can't he be comfortable? he's more of a man than me, i couldnt imagine the sacrifices that would have been made for that to happen..

but then again i'm a bleeding heart hippie... we all should be.

also it's like this.... American's seem to have this mindset, this capitalist mindset, fuck all, if it means i win... this is so wrong...

look at China... if they really wanted to, they could economically destroy us if they wanted to... why dont they??? compassion. we should learn from them.. they could pull away very fast if they wanted to.. oh my god but there communists!!! evil!!!! nah.. right now.. you know who's looking evil? we are. we are sitting here letting our OWN PEOPLE LIVE IN POVERTY, so that we can wage these "campaigns" across the middle east.. FUCKING IDIOTS. that makes me so mad.. it's like... ok... lets look at how well plundering and pillaging and "spreading our idealogy," worked for other civilizations simalar to us today... like.. early nazi Germany... like china and taiwan...

also, they realize now, they will be the financial center of the world very soon... that means the REST OF THE WORLD, will be directly effected by how they manage there currency/currencys... what would the conservative/capitalist mindset do here??? YAY, WE WIN, LETS RIG SOME STUFF SO THAT WE CAN PUSH THE REST OF THE WORLD AROUND NOW PUSH OUR POLICY, PUSH OUR AGENDA...what's the correct thing to do here? lets make it so that everyone can profit, lets make it so that the man running his little storefront in afghanistan can feed his family.. lets do that.. that seems like it might help the entire HEALTH of the planet.

Don't give China too much credit. They're building their success on the backs of their own people who will eventually revolt. China will respond in force and turn the world against them.

I agree though that corporations today aren't run with integrity or even common sense. I'm sorry, but no CEO is worth the salary that they get paid today.

Nah I think the world will go the China/1984 Model instead. It's most efficient.

OWS has been largely a pointless, meandering mess in my opinion. There's almost no intelligence in what they've done thus far, no plan really exists. They should have established their presence and gotten media attention just like they have and then followed-up with a scathing information and data campaign on the corporations they hope to damage. They should be working on Wikileaks kind of information.

Instead, they have digressed into shitting in public parks and getting pissed when their hippie communes are torn down by pissed off cops.

Yeah, peaceful assembly and protests are so 1960s. Get with the times you dumbass hippies!
Clearly if you just present the facts to the media and the government, they'd take responsibility and bring those corporations to justice!

God damn hippies always whining about things.. and then they get surprised when they get torn apart by pissed off cops. HEY.. CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE IS STILL DISOBEDIENCE! STOP BREAKING THE LAW ASSHOLES!

OWS may or not be the straw that sends the U.S. into Revolution.

It is a series of events heading the country to that inevitable internal war.

I have been saying since at least around 2000, when you have enough people personally negatively affected they will always group en mass and revolt.

It's clearly getting there.

The U.S. is currently approx 50 million of 300 million in the shitter and pissed about it.

I am guessing when it gets to around 160 million an all out war against the Corporations/Government will begin.

Whether or not get to see that in this lifetime obviously remains to be seen.
