Is overstock an authorized distrubtor of Harman Kardon products?

Overstock says an item comes with a '1 year manuf. warranty'
Harman Kardon (as well as all local stores) shows a 2 year warranty

I contacted overstock to find out about the discrepancy as was told this

Overstock usually says '1 year Overstock warranty' on non-authorized products... any idea?

what throws me off is this line "Due to the marketing requirements for our multimedia products, including SoundSticks II, there are authorized dealers who may or may not be on this list. We will honor our warranty on these products even if the Internet dealer does not appear on this list."

Isn't everything they sell a multimedia product?

yea, but the one at overstock is new, not a refurb.

But what if that paperwork says 2 year warranty only for authorized distributors of HK products? :Q
