Jesus H. people overcome far greater adversities every day. Lose their entire families in car accidents, lose limbs, confined to wheel chairs for the rest of their life, traumatized by brutal acts of violence. You're wondering how it is possible to overcome a lack of motivation.
You get out of bed every morning, whether you want to or not. You shower and brush your teeth. You put your pants on, even when you're wishing the roof would just cave-in and crush you to death.
You put one foot in front of the other, even when you don't know or are afraid of where it will take you, because to do anything else is to admit defeat, to give up, to roll over and die, and none of those are acceptable options.
You do this every day, even when you feel there isn't any point to it all, for as long as it takes. You do it because you have faith that it must get better, though you don't know when, or how, or why.
You do it because someone has it twice as bad as you and doesn't complain half as much...and you admire that. You do it because someone has it twice as good as you and complains twice as much...and you don't admire that.
Life isn't about 'deserve'. The man who reaches the mountain peak didn't get there because he 'deserved' to. He got there because he understood the peak would never come to him.
Either stop thinking about it, or start climbing.
