Is Outlook really inefficient or what?

I have 3 email accounts (2 POP, 1 IMAP) and on my Powerbook running Entourage, it takes 0.25 seconds to check my mail for all 3 accounts, and it shows up/gets filtered immediately.

Outlook is a different story on my PC. It loses connection with the IMAP server at least 2x a day and won't reestablish a connection unless I restart the program, and sometimes it'll take nearly 30 seconds to log on, check email, log off. And even then sometimes it "can't find" the server and returns an error. Also the filter "misses" some emails and sometimes takes a little while to figure out where they go.

I think MS only sucks at writing Windows apps. Their Mac apps work just fine. 😕

It has more to do with server side then the client side.

the question is would you rather use Notes? LOLOLOL

But how come the servers respond so fast when I check with Entourage vs. Outlook? Same servers, different clients.

PUT THAT IN YOUR PIPE AND SMOKE IT, AMEESH!! HAHAHAAHHA!!

My Outlook checks my emails (two accounts - all POP) in about a second, and i never had any problem.
