you mean love is soldiering on through a loveless marriage? the history of marriage isn't one of life long love without divorce in the past. thats a recently created myth. it was more of an unescapable institution. trapped by law or circumstance. and at most times there was no expectation of love. it was a setup for the raising of children, dispersion of property/business, alliance of families. it wasn't that long ago that people thought that true love could only exist outside of marriage.

Someone once said about the Porsche 911, "A terrible idea, brilliantly executed." I think it's the same way with love, the beloved has flaws and the lover knows of them, yet it is precisely these flaws and quirks that entice the lover even more and server to cement the beloved's place in the lover's heart.
