1. I have two boards an abit Kt7a that only uses amd t-birds and 133 sdram,

2. and a amptron 810lm with the sis set on it it uses amd xp cpu and 133 sdram

i know the amptron looks better on paper but with a t-bird in each at the same clock speed (the amptron is not overclockable at all) the abit is faster. is a amd xp cpu that much faster than a t-birdat the same clock speed? what board would you keep?

I don't have an XP to compare, but the guys that do say the XP benches about the same speed as a Thunderbird at 100MHz faster. Another good thing about the XP is it produces less heat. I would go with the computer that gets better benchmarks and not worry whether or not it is the XP or t-bird. Another thing to consider is that with the Abit KT7A you should be able to get the fsb up to 150MHz if you have decent memory, which will give you quite a boost in performance.
