Is OGR as slow as I think it is?

Man it looks like my K62 500 will be flushing a full buffer out every 24 hours or so. Does this sound right? It seems to be going pretty slow.

Wet-

Those OGR stubs do take some time and patience to do, not to mention that they vary greatly in size. Your 500 will average about 2 per day. The biggest will take a day and a half for one unit. On the other side, you may get a batch that you finish in minutes, although that hasn't happened to me yet. LOL

Don't worry about the stats though. They are based on the number of nodes, so it will all average out. Personally, I let my clients flush out every completed stub and download a replacement. I only keep about 4 in the in buffer on home machines and up to 50 on the remotes.

Well that explains it. This is a nef I think I'm getting close to moving up, but they took out the # of posts it takes in the help menu. Can someone help me out if you know how many it takes to move up.

Over the past 10 and a half days, my PIII 500 has done 24 stubs with an average size of 120 gnodes. I have my buffer set at 10 stubs which is enough for 4-6 days. I am on a free dialup connection and this is what works best for me. You computer should do just about the same rate as my computer which would put it at a little over 2 stubs per day.

Edit: I just notice your message above. it takes 200 posts to get to senior member.
