Is Office XP Standard $149 better than Office 2000 Small Business?

I picked up Office XP Standard (Academic version) for $149 with the intent of using it on my new desktop rig, but then felt stupid because I have the Office 2000 Small Business CDs that came with my laptop. No, I don't care about running the app on two computers with one license (GASP!). Since I don't use PowerPoint much (i.e., ever) is there any good reason why I shouldn't return the still-unopened Office XP and save some money?

Up to you really bud....Any features in Office XP that you might use? If not then I guess you could return it, at least you have one license ay! Many people out there have none.

p.s: I am in no way supporting software piracy ;)

That's why I'm asking. I don't wanna open the package and try it out because then I can't get my money back :)

I looked at the features comparison on Microsoft's site and it actually looked pretty lame. One was "Office Assistant disabled by default." I guess that may be a big deal for all those office workers who can't find a preferences menu.

Of course I in no way support, condone, advocate, or encourage software piracy. Hell, I hardly even practice it any more. I'm almost an upstanding citizen.
