That's what I want to know. After all, any Ivy League student should know that you don't spend your way out of a recession (FDR's New Deal lengthened the great depression, while Warren G. Harding fixed the Depression of 20-21 by doing nothing), that low interest rates don't recover an economy, occupying Afghanistan and wasting our money and U.S. lives over there is what the "terrorists" want, that the health care bill will just make health care more expensive, etc., etc.

I just wonder if he's retarded and this all some accident, or if he's doing this on purpose. I think the latter is probably true.

Im not an Obama fan, but this is a nice troll post. He isnt an idiot, and yes, you DO spend your way out of a recession (unless your last name is Bush, then it causes people to froth at the mouth). But theres a big difference between stimulus spending and growing the government...the latter of which he is doing at amazing pace.

That said, I do NOT like the vision he has for America. At all. But I dont think he's an idiot.

Well, lets take this health care legislation as an example.
I think the Democrats know that it is going to fail which will force them to say "well, we need government to fix this, so its time for single payer"

Pretty sure it's on purpose. Alinsky taught that the only way to bring about the revolutionary change would be to destroy everything to where people had no other option really than turn to government.

Look at the healthcare crap. Obama has said many times he can't get rid of the insurance companies right away and immediately get to single payer government run healthcare system (which he desperately wants). So he gets rid of them slowly by burdening them beyond profitability.

So very much so on purpose. He's no idiot, his actions are willful and purposeful. You get glimpses of what he really believes when he's off prompter.

IMHO, it takes a lot of OP arrogance to State, "Is Obama stupid and doesn't know what he's doing or is he hurting us on purpose?"

And I ask is the GOP stupid and doesn't know they are hurting the USA, or are they doing it on purpose.

On nearly every front, GWB&co effectively wrecked our economy. And while the stupid governance was somewhat constant through eight years, the full toxicity of the poisoning proved to be full and total by 9/2008. So lesson learned, job one of any post GWB government is to reverse the policy changes put into effect by GWB. And now the GOP filibusters all those needed changes. We can't pass banking reform, re-regulate Wall St, or return to more sane tax policies if the GOP filibusters everything.

Maybe point granted, health care reform is a new Obama reform and not just a return to pre GWB policy, but that health care reform has been over due even before 1992.

And even if Obama was handed maybe the worse economy ever, he is doing far better than Hoover policies that swiftly got this country up to 25% unemployment in an equivalent situation. Returning back to prosperity from 25% unemployment is an almost impossible job, but Obama, has at least limited the bleeding to only 10%. But the GOP will not give Obama any credit for even that.

In short, if the GOP ever gets back in power, they will have this fairly weak economy wrecked in a matter of six months.
