Is Obama Making His Next Career Move?

I've said a number of times here since Obama's election that I felt his ultimate goal was the position of Secretary General of the U.N. The "leader of the world" so to speak. So naturally, when I saw an article stating just that, I just had to read the whole thing - twice.

It's a little lengthy and the author gets off track at some points but I found it to be an interesting read. I feel that on the whole he ties together a lot of the goings on in our world today with historical events in a manner that I find somewhat fascinating. I've also stated here a number of times that I like a good conspiracy theory and while this article is not truly that, it does paint a possible scenario, a road map of sorts that I find plausible and therefore interesting.

The whole article is a slam of the thinking of the left of course. American Thinker is a site that appeals to the right. Also it disses Obama and that alone is enough to raise the ire of the usual suspects here. So, though fully aware of that, I present if for perusal and contemplation for anyone here of a like mind. The usual suspects will be along to tear it down, for it presents a vision of their savior that could be construed as less than flattering.

Interesting times we live in for sure. Nothing is new, everything is a recycle of the old. The young, the foolish among us think otherwise. Nothing new their either.

Yep, an internationally hated president of an internationally hated country who extended wars and bombed civilians with predator drones will be elected to secretary general. LOL.

That is usually how it works no? The crazier the scenario on paper the more likely it is, they like to create this cognitive dissonance in the masses.

So you think the bible belt is everywhere except New England and California? You, in your cloistered and collapsing islands of liberalism, think WE need to get our more?

The current UN Secretary General was just reelected to a new five year term earlier this month.

UN Sec General is a good bully pulpit but the position has next to no power. Perhaps someday a retired US President will take that role on but I wouldn't count on it. Without researching it at all I don't think a former head of state from any country has been the UN Sec General.

What exactly am I mad about? I didn't voice any opposition to Obama's policies, I was just stating the facts as the outside world views them. A USA president will never come close to being considered for secretary general.

Okay lets go over this one more time. Mr Obama is a citizen of the United States and his allegiance is to the United States over the rest of the world.

I stopped reading when I got to this:

Obama has a lifetime of faith in an imperialistic creed, Leninist-Marxism of the third-world variety. That was the dream his Kenyan father had.

*sigh* clearly this is just drivel and not worth reading any further.

No, it is. You couldn't point out a single solitary sensible piece of evidence that Obama wants to be UN Secretary General if your life depended on it.

Honestly, American Thinker is a hackjob site if there ever was one. Let's get real, only a partisan hack is going to read and link to this garbage.

I too had fears that Obama would actively pursue a Kenyan-type of Marxist society based on "Dreams from my father" and his talk of "positive" human rights. However he seems to me to have greatly moderated from his earlier thoughts. In particular, his aggressive prosecution of the war against terror argues strongly against his holding anti-American views. And while I'm sure he'd love the post, I see no suggestion in his actions that he is trying to get the post, nor expects to get it.

LOL! You made my day. The piece is all theory. It's de facto nothing.

Here, this one's just for you. If your panties got that twisted on the first one, this one will cut off your blood supply.

Obama will Resign and for Good Reason

You should be careful because that knee jerking upward might hit you in the jaw and hurt you.

The far-right tend to think the UN is going to become some One World Organization and signals the begining of the End Times. He's basically hinting that Obama will be the Antichrist.

Anyone who's actually looked at world issues knows that a powerful world organization is not going to happen anytime soon. Greece alone may break up the Eurozone.
