IS NOW RESOLVED Help request: Mouse right click

Any advice on how to restore mouse right click function when in the Windows START menu?

Suddenly today the mouse right click no longer functions within the Windows Start menu.
I suspect that someone else who was gaming here unknowingly fouled some setting.
I haven't been able to troubleshoot it.

Right click works just fine on the Windows desktop, and within applications, proving it's not any defect in the mouse.

In "Control Panel \ Mouse," all looks OK.

In the Logitech Mouse settings control, everything also looks OK, nothing appears altered.

Note: OS is Windows XP Pro SP2, mouse is Logitech MX-518.

Help appreciated. Thank you.

Change your Start Menu to Classic Windows and try it. If that works, change back to XP style - it should fix it.

corkyg ,

Thank you for trying to help. That didn't work.
Even after rebooting & other cleanups.

This computer has 4 user profiles, and the problem is ONLY on mine. :frown:
As far as I know, the problem only started after someone else used it for gaming.

Are there other suggestions?
