Is "Now" a Bad Time to Buy a Video Card?

A 9600P may not be "enough" for next-gen games like HL2 and D3, but "enough" is a relative term. Sure, a 17" monitor that maxes out at 11x8 at a comfortable refresh rate may not benefit from a 5900's extra bandwidth, but shader-heavy games will definitely benefit from a 5900's doubled shader power. For $20-30 more, there's really no reason not to get a 5900 over a 5700U.
