That doesn't take into account the massive deductions and loopholes Americans are so fond of. Canada's tax revenue as a percentage of GDP is 32.2% vs. 26% for the US. Cnada also averages around 13% sales tax where the US more around 8%.

Many leftists conveniently forget that these countries in ways have less regulation and corruption than the US. The US is losing more economic freedom while these countries are improving.
