Hi,

I am looking for a set of software kit like Norton Systemwork that maintains the whole system.

I remember systemwork contains, utilities: speedisk, ndd, imaging and so on.

or is there a better software? I heard that Mcafee has one too.

This is the worst software I've ever used.

If you don't like the high speed of your system, install systemworks and its guaranteed to slow it down to a more preferable anemic pace.

NAV is good for scanning emails, but AVG is excellent also and doesn't slow things down. And from what I understand 2004 nav is even slower than 2003. Don't even think of installing the whole systemworks imo.

Norton will slow down your system only if you let it. Who run's it in monitoring mode anyway? I think it's virus scanning is pretty innocuous as far as sapping resources. I've owned Norton for years and am pretty happy with it.

I have Systemworks 2003 installed and it hasn't slowed down my computer yet. Just because you've installed the entire suite, doesn't mean that every program is simultaneously running. Most of Systemworks doesn't run unless you tell it to. I only have Norton AV and a small Ghost utility running right now.
