Is no 5.1 the only difference between Philips Rhythmic and Accoustic Edge?

I know that the Philips Rhythmic Edge is a stereo only card, but is that the only difference between it and the 5.1 Accoustic Edge?😕
 
More or less, but don't forget digital I/O.

The Rhythmic has only 2 analog outputs.

The Accoustic has 6 analogs, and SPDIF digital input and output.

If you want it for gaming there is a Siesmic (spelling?) Edge as well, it's 4 channel with no digital. Games don't need 5.1 really.
 
Right, but basically, the stereo sound will be the same on all three cards? I have no digital equipment or plans to purchase any.
