Is Nim's island appropriate for a 2 and 4 year old?

I just rented it for a buck but am not really sure. I know its reviews were around 50% on rottentomatoes...

i watched it last night and seemed okay to me for kids. it's one of those movies with very little conflict and everyone ends up happy eventually.

It's not appropriate for anybody. I was forced to watch it on a 4 hour flight.

Thanks! My 4 year old saw new Rambo but said when one of the guys got split in two and forced back by a .50 from Rambo's technical that "Daddy, that is ballistically improbable for him to die like that. I want to watch Dora instead."
