I'm trying out 4gb to stave off buying a new setup til the spring or so.
Anyhow, I DO have a 64bit version of Vista on the machine. I've added 4GB total, matching RAM. The POST screen shows 4GB, Windows shows 4GB on the system properties panel. However, the BIOS reports just 3GB under it's parameters, and the task manager shows the same amount.
I know there were intel chipsets that could not properly see/use all 4GB, does the NF4 have the same problem?
Board is an NF4UK8AA-8EKRS, says it supports 4GB.
Trying to update bios as we speak, well, shortly thereafter anyhow (no floppy drive)...trying to workaround that.
But if it's limited, i'll be pissed, but I can accept it at least.
