is newegg still your go-to store for your computing needs?

I've been on such a limited budget lately that I totally lost track of what the general consensus is, but is NE still generally the go-to place for hardware?

(looking to buy 3 usb wireless nics, a couple tv tuners, and other assorted hardware goodies)

Their customer service is unbeatable, but some other places have better prices. However, pricing has become so competitive now that retailers usually only vary +-5% on the same item.

I use NE exclusive both for work and for play.
They have never steered me wrong and their prices are almost always the lowest if not in the wheel house.

If I'm buying multiple items then it's usually Newegg for me. I just bought parts for a whole new system and I purchased everything except the ram from Newegg. Ordered the ram from ewiz(super talent deal).

Are there any good reputable sellers outside of CA? Ever since Monarch Computers went down, choices have been limiting for some Californians.

I use pricegrabber/froogle, find the best price among 4star+

Unless a company does something beyond the call of duty, i hold no loyalty.

NE is my first stop. Prices might not be the lowest, but they are on par with just about everywhere else. Plus with their regular ground shipping it gets to my door in like 2 days.

Still use it almost all the time. They have what i need in stock and can get it to me within a few days, 99 out of 100 times. When something does go wrong, their customer service has been excellent.

I am rather annoyed with UPS shipping being cheaper and therefore default now, but i realize that is more the fault of fedex raising prices than newegg.

If I'm buying something fairly major I usually use NewEgg.

If it's one thing, I usually get it from Provantage. Shipping always costs ($5-$6), but they have a warehouse so ridiculously close that I always get it the next day.

Built my last two systems entirely from Newegg, with the exception of a couple of mods. No complaints here. Even my returns have been a breeze.

Sales tax is kind of a deal breaker for me except for special deals, but I still go there for reference due to large selection and great product details

Only when they have the right price. 5 years ago when internet shopping was just starting out it was scary buying from places other than newegg and newegg had lowest prices anyway. Right now there are plenty of reputable places to buy from which have lower prices than newegg. No reason to pay premium. That said I just bought P180B from newegg, but that's only because newegg had $10 off shipping when paying from paypal, $50 antec MIR and $15 paypal rebate making total <$70 if both rebates come through.
