I agree. I don't like the new site but like everything else on the internet I have no control over it so I'll have to get used to it regardless.

no.

the older site has more information per screen without scrolling.

eg - 3 columns of items on the top pages, summary specs at top with pic of item on individual pages.

No.
It looks like a Cactushop cart under a circus tent with jingle balls hanging on it.
At least it used to be clean.

I get this "cramped" feeling with the new NewEgg site.

I'm sure that NewEgg's demographics are higher than average. So their average shopper probably has at least 17" LCD or 19" CRT at 1280x1024 or higher. They should revert back to the old style.

agreed about sticking to the old style.

it's much cleaner imo(old style).

i actually sent feedback to them indicating such since they sent me an email asking me to peruse the beta site.

i don't know if they'll listen but if enough of us give feedback, maybe they will.

I hate how when you click in the space to the left, it highlights the test in their toolbar.

I sent similar feedback.

Amen. Hell, I don't like their CURRENT layout/graphics package. I want the one they used circa 2001 back.

They are wasting about a third of the total screen area. The old site makes the merchandise look more appealing

The new site seems to flow better from section to section, but the old site was much better overall.

Same here, hope they listen, too much wasted space IMHO.

My email:

Subject: New website feedback

I like the "original" site much better. If I wanted to view a tiny website, I?d use my cell phone. Try viewing the site at 1600x1200 on a 20? LCD and you?ll see what I mean. The site caters to tech professionals and power users, not new computer users who have a 15? monitor and 800x600 resolution.

I agree. I like the change however i definitely think they need to stretch the sight to make it fit. Im running 12x10 and i could fit 2 neweggs on one screen with all the unused space.
