Newegg.com has become my primary vendor, I've spent over $10,000 there. That's why I find what just happened so strange.
Yesterday afternoon I ordered downloadable software from them. It was TextAloud MP3-Retail for $17.99. I downloaded the program last night, but it was the free trial version. I called Newegg customer service and asked why I did not receive the codes to unlock the program. I was told "that is the only version that we have right now." I was told I could have the number of the software company and can see what they could do; however, after four dollars in phone calls I just requested a refund.
Newegg has been so absolutely stellar, I'm amazed that they're selling trial version software. Weird! It was not the retail version as stated. So I'm out four dollars.
