Excaliberpc.com has them for $71. I don't know about 2500MHz, but the 1.5v 307's seem to be averaging 2300MHz, where as the older 1.6v 302's were averaging 2100MHz.

I emailed Newegg today and was told they just are not making any promises about the 1700+ that you get - they don't know if it's an A or a B or anything. THey will say it's a Thoroughbred but that's it.

Yes. (as long as you have the appropriate m/b, memory, etc.)

I got a 307 JIUHB (not the 1.5 307) from excaliberpc.com, my ram though isnt being very friendly (PC2700 Samsung) I did get up to 166x11 and my vcore at 1.65 (I think, I am at scool not at home :D ). I haven't done anymore overclocking recently. I am currently using a ThermalTake Volcano 9+ heatsink, its a POS and I am getting around 39c idle and 46 full-load. Which is just insane, my computer is liking to crash when I raise my multiplyer to 12. Not sure if this is my ram or my mobo I have a Soltek FRN 75 L. However, I did raise my CAS timings and I booted up without a problem. When I get a new heatsink I'll try overclocking somemore :D

excaliberpc.com had some guaranteed 1.5v 1700+'s for $71, but they appear to be out of stock for the time being.

Excaliber is out of stock, for the Time Being has moved them to Googlegear. DLT3C for $53. shipped. They don't specify the week, but the DL3C's are the new low V chips.

actually the ones on googlegear are thoroughbred A's and will not clock near 2.3
the new Bs week 0307-0309 are what you want. the 0309 are getting 2.3-2.8 air.
the DLT3C is TbredA and the DUT3C is TbredB
**However then new Bs are DLT3C def 1.5vcore which had been the A standard. the only place that guarantees this is excaliber, just wait till they are back in stock
from newegg theres is a 95% chance you will not get a dlt3c b.

How are you getting the T-bred As to OC to 2.1Ghz? I can't push mine above 1.796Ghz (for some reason it can't stnad 1.8Ghz...maybe its my PSU problem...its a 350watt Q-Max that came with the casE or maybe I got a so-so batch) and the highest I've seen on the boards was a 1.91Ghz oc for a 1700+ T-bred A

As for hitting 2.3Ghz on a 1700+ Tbred B...wow...that is the speed that most 2100+s are attaining...A little more realistic would probably be slightly over 2Ghz

I don't know about these 1.5 volt 1700's, but my 1.6 volt does 2600 speeds easily.....:)

tbred As dont overclock nearly as well as bs. your ~1.8 seems about average, but if could be limited by other factors such as your motherboard, ram, and possible that psu depending on your other components.

here is a great site explaining athlon processors [l]http://lowyat.isentral.com/guides/athlonxp/[/l] there is a section on the new 1700+ at the bottom too.
you can also check out some of the max o/c of tbreds here [l]http://www.vr-zone.com/guides/AMD/TBred/[/l] most users also post their setup
