I purchased a Creative 8x4x32 for 55.92 for the Nero software. Is Nero 5.0 really worth it?

nero certainly seems to be the burning rom of choice around here. i have to admit that i used easy cd creator 4 for years, but have recently switched over to nero...it basically does everything you could ever want it to do...and does it pretty darn well

Nero 5.0 and 5.5 is generally acclaimed as being the best. I use Nero 5.5 personally and love it.

i got nero 5.5 with my yamaha 20x burner...and i like it ....its not as polished looking as adaptec but works very well..just have to get use to the differances...incd is only for use with cd-rw's though...unlike directCD....but adding a new session to an already compliled cd is no problem with nero so kinda would be redundant i guess.

Nero is the best burning program around (I do use FireBurner occasionally though). We got Adaptec EZ CD with both of the burners in our IT office and still laid down the cash for 2 Nero liscenses for these systems.

burn programs I use:
Nero
CloneCD
CDRWIN

all have their own specific uses...Nero for general data/mp3 cd burning, CloneCD for one-to-one *cough* backups, CDRWIN for *cough* cd-images.

Nero is the burning software of choice for me. I also use CloneCD on occasion. There is a free upgrade from Nero 5.0 to Nero 5.5 here. I used NTI CDmakerPro for a while and some experience with Adaptec, but Nero is the most versatile of the three.
