Really? I don't think you'll ever find a person who reads every ounce of drivel about my home teams more than me and I've never heard anything that said anything other than they want to foster a mindset of winning. They want them to do illegal stuff, but don't want them to get caught. No. no no, that isn't stupid. I guess stomping on a player after the whistle with everyone looking at you isn't in the Lion's Dirty Playbook. Maybe it's in one the appendices that Suh got a hold of by mistake.

Do you really think anybody could hear Schwartz yell that, that was more than 10 feet away? Certainly not Harbaugh at 150+ feet. and that is not during the handshake which I will say again for you slower has an u-n-w-r-i-t-t-e-n e-t-i-q-u-e-t-t-e about it because there has been many other incidents and the coaches and the league don't want any more of them.

You don't even know what that was about do you? Tampering, yeah right. Telling a player you admire on another team as you're going off the field that you wished he played for you is tampering. You're really stretching here.

Believe what you want, but results are results. Schwartz and Gunther knew what would happen when they pushed for the players and type of play they've gone for. I guarantee I know more about how Gunther coaches than you do.

Why is Schwartz whining about being cussed at if he himself was doing it earlier? Hypocrite much? Unwritten rules that Schwartz himself violated, so what exactly is your point?

Yes, tampering. You're right, I guess that's why they got reprimanded by the NFL for it, which almost never happens. Stretching? How is it a stretch to point out facts?

Keep believing what you want, but you're just arguing blind idiocy.

My point exactly. Do you really think that anyone on the Lion's or Raider's staff thinks this is a good thing? That they are fostering this attitude?

All the focus in the papers, websites, or talk radio around here is pointing their fingers at Schwartz to get this under control in a hurry.

It's a funny thing about Detroit sports is that we have the archetype of how to handle yourself in these kind of situations with the Red Wings. Here was a team that didn't win anything until it learned to grow up, turn your back, and skate away. Once that hit home it started raining Stanley Cups.

Yes, I do. They've built their teams with players that have "mean streaks" and don't do shit to reprimand them. Its well known that Al Davis actually paid players for dirty play. Actually go and learn about Al Davis, Gunther, and Scwhartz before defending them blindly.

Dirty play used to be very common in the NFL. It still is, but not like it was. Even back in the 90s, it was a lot dirtier than it is today. It was one of the reasons why the AFC West used to be so good, all the teams in it were pretty damn dirty. Its why New England won championships back in the early 2000s. Its why the Steelers and Ravens have remained good. No they're not going out getting penalties and making dirty plays every play, but there's plenty of it they get away with, and it works. Its why Schwartz and Gunther have gone for it, its why they call it a "winning culture", but only delusional people can't see what how they've gone about it.

So there is no difference between yelling something that no one will hear and swearing at them right to their face. Yeah, alright.

Now you've got me totally confused. They used to play dirty more way back when, but now not so much, but it still works, but not all the time.

Look, Schwartz is not an idiot, and anyone that thinks the key to winning games is by bending the rules rather than playing good fundamental football would have to fall into the category of idiot. It was pretty obvious to anyone that watched the Lions/Saints game the reason why the Lions lost that game was that they couldn't play within the rules. I wouldn't call losing a "winning culture."

He is definitely getting that reputation. And yes, some of his actions on the field are unsportsmanlike.

So...it appears that the Packers were trying to irritate Suh in that Thanksgiving Day game...

Did the Packers untying Ndamukong Suh’s shoes set him off?
By Chris Chase

Was Ndamukong Suh's Thanksgiving outburst caused by a juvenile prank ordered by a Green Bay Packers coach? According to former Packers offensive lineman Matt Brock, that's exactly what happened.
Brock was being interviewed on KXTG in Portland, Ore., when he floated the theory that his former teammate, current offensive line coach James Campen, may have told Evan Dietrich-Smith to untie Ndamukong Suh's shoes during the game as a way of getting under the skin of the volatile Detroit Lions star.

This is the sort of tale that's best served straight from the horse's mouth, so here's a transcript of Brock's interview, courtesy MLive.com:
The center, or one of his guards, he's had like one or two starts in his career and he's got to play against Suh. So he's pretty puckered, right? So, he talking to James, the offensive line coach, going, "What do I do? What do I do?"
James is just in his mind going, "This guy is going to get killed. I got to take his mind off it, give him something else to do." So he says, "Ok, every time you're in a pile, I want you to focus on something. I want you to untie his shoes."
He goes, "What?"
"Anytime you can, just reach in, he's got floppy shoe laces, he doesn't spat or anything, just untie his shoes. It will irritate him."
He untied his shoes three times in the game. That's why he stomped him. That's why he banged his head on the ground and he stomped him. When (Suh) went to the sideline it looked like he was telling the coach, "I didn't do anything" and he put his foot up like, "I didn't stomp him. I didn't do anything." He was actually going, "The damn guy keeps untying my shoes."
That's a heck of a tale and it's just plausible enough to be true. Suh is so temperamental that you can see him getting aggravated by some scrub messing with his shoes. It's something that's easily checked, I suppose. All you'd have to do is go back and look at the game tape to see if Suh was bending over in between plays to tie his shoes.

Even if it's not true, I'd imagine Oakland Raiders coaches will be whispering to their offensive linemen about how to antagonize Suh during this Sunday's game. Sure, they could suggest they untie his shoes in a pile, but where's the originality in that? Come up with a new way to annoy him. Try tickling his feet or blowing gently in his ear or singing that Mariah Carey Christmas song at full volume all game. Dude will snap in no time.
