Ok, I just bought an HIS x1900xtx and it is running at stock speeds of 650MHz. I fired up the Catalyst Control Center and then launched 3d mark 05. After running through the first video test, the card was showing about 88C as reported by the CCC. Then, after the second video test, the card was showing about 90C from the CCC.
Is this normal for this card to run this hot? What are acceptable temperatures for this card under load?
I have very good air flow in my case so I really don't think that is the problem. I just replaced a 7800 gtx that wasn't running nearly as warm in this case.
I'm running Catalyst 6.3.
