I recently built myself a core 2 duo build and i transplant some of my old parnter into my parnter computer and made it into a amd 2500xp. Things are fien fro around 2 weeks, however, a problem pop up a few days ago. It seems that my parent's computer have a hard tiem connect to the wireless network in the house.

I am surrently using a linksys wrt54g wireless router and my parent is using a linksys 54g wireless pci card. We are on the same floor of the townhouse and like 10-15 feet away between the trouter and my parent's computer so there should be that much trouble connecting. The wireless pci card is able to see the wireless network around it but soemtime it is unabe to made the connect. Is this a sign that the pci card is dying?

Doubtful, it usually means there's some sort of interference. Especially if the box is a tower sitting on the floor up against a wall, the antenna has little room to work with and/or there may be electrical interference as well. You could try moving the card to the upper-most slot, repositioning the antenna sideways, get an antenna extender, or build a poor-man's parabolic reflector to concentrate the wireless signal
