Cheap advertising, duh. If I make 1 post a day, and it gets viewed only 20 times, thats 600 views a month, or 3600 in 6 months. Assuming 10% click through (with a misleading title like free boobies) then that is 360 clicks for only $5, or 1.4 cents a click. If my posting rate goes up to 2 a day, then you get even more bang for your buck. IMHO a great deal but noone has taken me up on it yet! If you want a $1million idea, you would set up a company that sells ad space in signatures. You could sell text only, or images (depends on the board). Maybe have a script that randomly selects an ad from a bank so no two posts by the same user have the same ad. Make the company small and limit the number of people on a forum who do it so people dont get pissed. I am sure there are some people here that make 10+ posts a day, and that could lead to quite a bit of income.
This whole idea is copyright me btw. You will be sued if you copy it, by the RIAA none the less. I might even get SCO to throw in a suit against you... :evil:

no gator popup for me, it loads quite fast for me, so props for that, you should learn to put those words at the bottom in a META tag, easy to do. And i don't understand what your site is about, it's kinda DARK, not as welcoming as it could be, for a general information site, most are bright, not saying yours has to be.
cool concept on the menu, make it bigger, and it looks choppy near the top and bottom, maybe you used the wrong pic?!?! it seems to only be that way on the "downloads" page, where it seems the menu is larger than on other pages, much easier to read, make them all like that and fix the flow of things.
seems you're into making money for doing next to nothing, have advertizements on your site, a paypal donation even!!!! selling your sig-space for $$, gee that's original! come back once you've changed things and let me see what it turns out like ;-) not bad for a first attempt

Try not to take offense to my critiques- some of it may sound overly negative, but i'm not trying to offend. I'm calling it as i see it.
Like a lot of other people said, the site is ok, but looks a bit like the script-kiddie sites built on geocities in the mid to late 90s. The design aspects look somewhat like you went to a graphics site and pulled as many different types of graphics as you could to paste into your site.
The dual navigation is confusing, the left bar navigation makes me think of ad banners, the color scheme on the buttons throws the green background off, and finally, the site's purpose is not clear. I don't know what iDonk is, and there's no headline or any simple thing that tells me immediately what the site is about. Most experts agree that users should be able to tell what your site is about within the first 10 seconds of being there. If they can't, they'll go elsewhere.
You may want to size the site under 800 pixels wide to eliminate the horizontal scroll bar users will get when they run at 800x600. I'd personally try to get a centralized navigation object that is simple, effective, and doesn't distract the user from the rest of the site. Look at the big sites out there and you'll know what i'm talking about. Also: try not to emphasize so much that you're trying to make money off the site. You'll alienate your users because it looks like youre trying to make a cheap buck. I say make a successful site FIRST, then start making money from it. Not the other way around. I hardly think Anand would have been as successful if he first started charging for his hardware reviews when he used to host his site on geocities. The money thing is because I am but a poor college student who is going to graduate with $50,000 in loans so every $ helps! 250 uniques a day is all right for being incomplete, but the site I used to run, EdonkeyHQ was getting close to 2000 uniques a day at its peak, and I hope to reach that by the end of the year!

The graphics I did all myself, except for the right menu, and even then I still modified them quite a bit. The left side isnt navigation, its just what topic the article next to it is about. Yes MagicianBdotCom, most of the articles are from Fark, but that is just for now. I just wanted to get something up that is fairly recent and Fark is a trove of goodness
As for what the site is about, it really isnt geared towards just your everyday person. Its almost exclusively designed for Edonkey/Overnet users, and for people who need to play DivX/XviD/(S)VCDs and pretty much know what they want already. The Guides and FAQ section will have some beginners guides, but the intent is to make resources available to people who already know how to use them. Its not a very large number of people so the site may appear pointless to a lot of people.
new2AMD - is there anything really wrong with right side navigation? I think it leads people into reading the actual content of the site before trying to move elsewhere. It also sets the site apart from others.

Actually yes there is. If someone is running on a low res browser they lose the nav. That is why most designers put it on the left. It seems like you are being different for the sake of being different. In most cases that is good but when you lose funcionality in doing so then its not worth it. Of course this is only MO.
