Just hoping you guys could give me some feedback on my new website. The only section that doesnt work is the guides/faq section, which is the biggest one unfortunately, but I am working on that now and should have it done by this weekend.

the url is www.iDonk.com

Do you like the design?
Do you like the url/slogan?
Anything that doesnt work (bad links, errors, etc)?
Is there anything that I should add/remove?

Thanks in advance!

I think the menu and the rest of the page kind of clash. I don't really like menu actually. The design looks good. It's a fun design.

The big list of buttons on the left is kind of overwhelming and even a little intrusive to me. It makes your site look like a warez site because they almost look like ad banners.

No because you try to cheat on search engines by having this text at the bottom of your site and making it the right color so no one sees it:

DIVX, XVID, VCD, SVCD, edonkey, and overnet. Divx news xvid news vcd news vcdhelp svcdhelp vcd guide svcd guide divx help divx guides xvid Guides divx guide xvid guide, programs, codecs, downloads, FAQs, apps, appz, movies, moviez download divx codec download divx codes download xvid codec xvid codes xvid codecs divx ac3 codec ac3 codecs bittorrent movie download download divx movies download vcds download svcds download svcd codecavipreview divx antifreeze divx subtitle program subtitle viewer subtitle player

Its not really cheating, since search engines dont go into the tables that the actual content is in, so if I didnt put that there then under the description area on search engines it would just be blank. I guess its kind of cheap, but what else can I do?

No. You have Gator attached to it.

how can you tell?
One of the many popups received when Downloads was clicked.

Hrmm, I commented those out, but I guess they are still popping. Actual code has been removed so no pops! Sorry about that. Hopefully that takes care of the Gator too?

Hmm seems to be lacking the flow, cohesiveness, and artistic style that more developed sites have. The icons with the menu on the left just stick out, same with the right bar which is plain black and the 2 MPAA/RIAA pics.

That would by why :) I always use Mozilla so I dont get to see if there are pop ups or anything :( Another one of the reasons why I asked for feedback! I only test it with Mozilla at 1600x1200 so I dont really know if everything works with other broswers or at other resolutions! Now I know there was gator crap popping up and now thats outta there.

Gator = the devil. Bonzi buddy = the devils lover.

I dont control what pop ups were displayed by the pop up program I was using, and I guess they allow gator, or one of the pop up ads had a gator install in it. I used to use them (www.popuptraffic.com) a long time ago and never had any of that, but I guess they have changed :( I guess I have to find a different way of making some money off the site to pay for it :p

It's almost like the heading images on the left completely clash with the ones on the right, in the black.

I can tell you barrowed the nav links. Javascript for them does not make any sense. onClick="button=false;"??? It is giving me script errors. Take that onClick event handler out if it is not calling a pre defined function. Other than that, not bad. I consider anything done in front page good, since front page is such a pain the ass to design anything in the first place.

I did borrow them from a free template a long time ago. I have modified them quite a bit to look how I want them to, and I know they dont really fit the page design but they just look very cool IMHO so I have kept them :)

Sry about the "onClick="button=false;" giving you errors, that was part of the pop up script and I forgot to take them out.

I actually like Front Page, i have been using it for ~3 years and once you figure out how to make it do what you want, its actually pretty cool. The only problem is the pages tend to be large, size wise. I want to learn how to do CSS but have not had the time.

Thanks for the feedback! :D

I looked around that site for a while, but I couldnt find what I was looking for. Will google take the description from a meta tag? I thought that was just keywords? Could you possibly give a more direct link to what you were talking about?

Thanks

the transition between the various elements of the website doesn't work as effectively as it could. the menu on the right commands far too small of a presence.

Do you mean make them into 1 big image or that I should only have 1 of them?
