Hello everyone, there is a large amount of dust under my screen. I want to open it but I don't want to void my warranty. The t-mobile rep I talked to didn't really sound too confident when she said I could open it. Anyone know the real answer?

I would get that in writing from T-Mobile before I did that, or at the very least make sure there is a note on the account.

I am of the firm opinion that you should never open consumer electronics unless you have written, notarized confirmation from somebody working for the company in question saying that you're allowed to open it.

You should go to a T-Mobile store, talk to a rep, get that rep's name, all that jazz. Make sure s/he knows that you're opening the phone only under his/her strict affirmation of the fact that you're allowed to.

You dont need to open the phone. I have this same problem with mine. The main LCD screen is just a sticker, take a small flat head screw driver and get under that sticker. It comes right off and you can clean it. It goes back on without losing it's stickiness for about 3-4 times. Then you will need to get a new sticker, they sell them at cnn.cn for about 3 bucks. link
