I got a toshiba laptop:
core i3-370m, intel hm55, intel hd graphics, 4gb ram, win7 home premium 64bit

Everything works fine except the screensaver as shown in youtube link. You can initiate the screensaver by going into WMC, then go to [Pictures + Videos] menu, then click [Play favorites].

I've tried installing different intel driver versions (newest from toshiba website and from intel website) but glitch keeps happening. I also reinstalled windows from the hidden toshiba backup partition on hdd. I've tested some 3d demos such as unigine tech demo and they appear to be fine (slow but no artifacts like in wmc slideshow) so I don't know if problem is hardware or software.

Help?

Run memtest first to test your memory since its a sharded memory video system.

If that test good then try 3dmark test and see what happens. If it can take a full run of 3dmark without fault then its probable a driver/program issue since you said its does not happen on other programs.

Oh and go to windows update to make sure your OS is up to date as well.

Try lowering the clock speed of the intel HD graphics from the BIOS, and see if it helps.

The graphics core on the i5 might be unstable, so you might need to RMA the cpu.
