Is my video card on the fritz?

Over the past few days I've noticed weird lines appearing on my monitor, which will go away after a reboot, and some times go away on their own after 10 minutes or so, but they have come back several times now.
Two pictures of what it looks like;

I'm running a 400 watt antec smartpower, athlon 64 3200, asrock 939dual sata2, and of course the 9800.

I figure it's the video card that's dying, but I also thought it could somehow be the power supply. What do you guys think?

I have an old 40 gig hard drive connected to the same power cable as the video card, but I haven't had any issues with that.

You may want to put the video card on a power cable
by itself to to see if there is any difference.

The 9800 is power hungry.

I switched the hard drive off so that the 9800 was on its own power cable, but the lines returned.

That pretty much leaves the video card as the only culprit, right?

Ahh yes, the lines of death.

I've lost 3 9700 pro's on two computers to the same thing over the last 3 years.

Rebooting will probably make them go away - but they will come back at some point.
