a X800GTO2
when boot up, all screen has white broken lines shaking etc

when I hit del, it looks like computer goes to BIOS, and now different color lines are appearing.

Clear mobo bios, same, re-install a few times. Same. check all power cables.

Get the video card out to another system (with onboard ), same kind of broken lines all over the same.

So is it dead?
Thanks.

Most likely dead. My first 7900gt that I bought used came with an aftermarket cooler on it. Turns out the last owner didnt put it on very carefully and chipped the corners of the core, I had lines all over the place. Have you done anything to the card? Aftermarket cooling, OCing, ect?

its aftermarket ,zalman cooled.
It was running fine from 9/05 till last night. I get it out to test my new build ... the mobo is ready to RMA (can't oc, change multi will flag back....long story...) Kinda get it a final try... work it out for 2 boots (video card still good) and I decide stop fooling around and pull it out because I have a Gigabyte DS3.
Install DS3 with CPU and MINE cooler. The clip actually push against one of the parts and slap it. After I get it out, I can see the connector was broken.... ar... either a RMA or solder job (not too good at it...)
(I have not put the video in, nor power up the DS3)
Then put this video card back to my AMD system.... it display those error.... there went another... $60-70 worth of video card...

bad night..

I remove the zalman and everything and look and look. Don't have any burn marks or cracked chip last night
