Today in the morning when i booted up my PC something very wiered happened. My whole screen was in colorful boxes, and im like WTF?! .

And this was before I got into windows.

So i turned off my comp for a few seconds and everything seemed fine. When i got into windows, my whole desktop was in different colors and when i moved my mouse a colored box moved with the mouse. Then my PC just restared without me doing anything.

Ok so I got into my desktop again and I got a error message about some DLL"s corrupt that belong to my Geforce2 GTS 64MB. I managed to download the latest nvidia drivers today and everything seems to work fine but this is the first time that this has happened to me. Is my video card dieing? Is it time for a new one? Oh and this video card is 2 and a half years old.

Also I tried playing a fast shooter game and during the load of the game, my comp just froze. But warcraft3 works fine.

system specs:
1.1ghz t-bird
512sdram
Visiontek Geforce2 GTS 64mb ( 41.9 det drivers )
Directx 8.1
windowsXP Pro ( no sp1 installed )

Like 2 months ago I took the gpu fan out. But ofcourse let the heatsink on.

I dont think its a heat problem because i bin using my geforce without a fan for a month now without a problem and just now i am getting this freezing problem.

Damn, I am wondering if this is permanent damage.

Whats a OK video card I can get for 100 bucks?

Ya I think the card is permantly damaged. That color screen in the begining wasnt a fluke, it happened today when i removed the video card and tryied putting it back.

Damnit my budget is so tight that i wonder if i can get a MX card.
