Is my video card bad?

I have a GeForce4 4200 and I believe it may be bad. For some strange reason I can't run anything 3D because when I do the screen goes blank and the computer freezes. I was able to run 2D games, surf the internet, listen to music, etc. but now I can't even do that since I get a post error shown on my motherboard LED's that something is wrong with the video system. I installed an older GeForce2 video card and it runs fine in everything so I'm assuming my card is bad. I just recently installed an Antec 430w PSU because I thought that may be the problem but it didn't solve anything(it sure is quiet though!). Another quick question, could my card be bad and the fan still operate? Thanks for the help.

Good guess about the power supply, and at least you have a good one now. Unfortunately I can't seem to access the link to your system specs, but have you tried updating the motherboard BIOS? If the system won't post, even with the BIOS upgrade, then I would say its definitely time to return the card. If you can load windows but still crash on 3D games, I would make sure you have the latest AGP drivers installed and then re-install the latest Detanator drivers and see if that helps.

Best of luck with it!
