Is my SSD write speeds as expected?

My system:
2500k OCed to 4.4Ghz
8GB Ram
MSI P67A-G43
GTX 560 Ti
Intel SSD 320 120GB in AHCI mode.

I installed a fresh copy of Win7 and did not benchmark it before I started installing programs, updates, etc. Large or infrequently used programs are installed on a separate HDD. I only began benchmarks after everything was installed. Using AS SSD, CrystalMark, HD Tune, etc I get write performance peaking out at about 135MB/sec. I have had the drive for a week with 81 of 112 GB free and did not expect write performance to go down that much from the spec'ed 220MB/sec. As far as I can tell I have all drivers/firmware updated and TRIM is working. Read performance seems unaffected.

Is it expected for an SSD's write performance to drop that much?

600Gb max write ~220 Mb/s

smaller drives are slower than larger
