This only happens sometimes.

Unlikely, but a little more info (like the model of the SSD perhaps) would be a nice thing to know.

Have you ran Samsung Magician (or used CrystalDiskInfo), and clicked on the SMART status to get a health report?

You can also run a program like this to possibly figure out the cause of the blue screen:

https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html

Thanks I went back a image to quickly fix the blue screen successfully for now.

Can anyone else not file a problem report on Samsung online website? Weird. It always says not available.

Suddenly.

Yup. I had a sandisk ssd die about 3 weeks ago (just today finally got a warranty replacement). One morning I woke up the PC from sleep mode and all of a sudden a drive was missing in windows. Reboot, cable/port swaps, system swap and nope... drive won't power up.

I concur, smart status is only useful for peering into temperature and how many writes have taken place. Reliably predicting failure probability is like the inverse of mechanical drives.
