IS my sk-7 backwards?

I put on my sk-7. I first attached the one side then attached the other side with a screwdriver towards the outside of the 8rda+. The side you have to clip in has more space on the bottom. I put that side where the sockets white whatever you call it step is. Anyone know what im saying

Yes, the heatsink will sort of work either way, but you will notice that there is really only one right way to attach it because it is off-center the other way. Look closely and you will discern which way is correct. Use the center mark on the polished surface to guide you.

Sounds like you got it right to me. The side of the heatsink with the step is on the same side as the step in the socket where the handle pivots, right?

Because SK-7's can slide back and forth on their clip, it's also important to make sure the heatsink is as far away from the hinged end of the socket as the clip will allow. Otherwise it can ride up on the solid-plastic end of the CPU socket and won't be able to make square contact with the CPU core, resulting in Bad Things Happening To You :D
