I have installed XP Pro on a Single drive (WD 750 1AALS) , which is connected to JMB36 controller off Sata II port on motherboard. It also controllering my IDE DvD NEC 3500 AG burnner. Controller is set for AHCI Mode.
I also 2 WD1001FALS in Raid 0 running off a 9ICHR chipset. I have Win7 installed on that raid volume.
I have setup XP page file (window manage); Temp, and IE temps in Raid Volume folder.
I set the Win7 page file on Single drive which runing off WD Black 750 1AALS which is connected to JMB36 controller.
The whole idea to do this way so my controller chipset wouldn't satutrated with lot of Disk I/O along South bridge standards I/O
Will this free up or balance load properly among both chipset when it comes to disk I/O ?
I have a Gigabyte P35C DS3R running of Xeon 3100 with 4 Gig DDR3
