I have had a system built, and stable, for a week or two. I was playing Counter-Strike on a LAN, and I reset my machine with the reset button. When it restarted, the screen looked washed out. Like the Gamma was turned up. Everything that was supposed to be black looked light gray. It looked washed out, even before Windows started, at POST. I uninstalled the GeForce2 drivers, and put on a "standard vga adapter". Even with these drivers installed, it was still washed out looking. I then reinstalled the correct drivers, and it was still screwed. I do not know if it is the card, windows, or monitor. I think that it might be the monitor, but see no way of correcting this. Please help. Vielen Dank.

Can anyone please give me some advice on fixing this problem? I want to know if it is my system, or my monitor, because I will return the monitor if it is broken. thanks

Do you have a cheap video card to pop in to see if the monitor works OK with it? Or another computer to try the monitor on? Sounds like the video card is toast, but give the monitor a check over via alternate means first, Bitte.
