Is my Samsung 830 SSD dying now?

    did a performance check and the sequential write speed looks low at 272.66 MB/s

    this is using the AS SSD benchmark utility

    What's the capacity of your 830? If it's 128GB then it's behaving normally, if it's 256-512GB then it's a bit bellow the 330MB/s nominal speed.

    yes, it's the 128GB drive. I was thinking it used to be around 400MB/s, but that was awhile back, and I could be mistaken

    If it's the 128GB then the speed isn't problematic, since it's rated for up to 320MB/s.

    As @UsandThem already said, you can use CrystalDiskInfo to check drive health. It's probably fine though.

    I did the crystal disk test earlier, and indicated normal.

    and thanks guys for the info. I guess I was expecting too much of the old SSD[​IMG]
