Is my router shot?

I have a Belkin B5D5230-4 and I can connect to it through the LAN but it isn't forwarding my internet connection. If I hook the internet cable directly to the modem I get connectivity. When I log into the router it reports that it isn't connected to the modem but it is properly connected. I have resetted the router and updated the firmware on it. NAT and DNS are both enabled.

What do you think?
Any comments/suggestions welcomed.

Well, we have been using this router for months with no problems, so why would I have to do this now? I have cycled the router and cable modem many times. The article is a little hazy on what I'm supposed to do the "clone" my MAC address. Thanks for your response though.

Why you have to do it Now?

1. Because 2 min. trying is cheaper than buying a New Router.
2. Because if it was done a while ago, loading new firmware and reseting the Router usually resets the MAC Clone as well.

It can not be simpler than the description in the link page, might be that it is too much reading.

Find the MAC number of the computer that works when directly connected to the Modem and clone the computer?s to the Router (see the Router?s) menu.
