Is my router dead? WGR614v v2 not detecting.

I'm on SBC DSL and the internet seems to work when directly connected to the modem. However once I put the Netgear in it, it doesn't work. I have tried accessing the router but it doesn't seem to able to contact it. Tried turning it off for a while. Still didn't work. Tried that shock disconnect...still.

You sure you have the right address to the router? When you plug into the router, does it give you a DHCP ip address?

If all fails, look up at netgear's website on how to reset the router back to its original defualt settings.
