Is my RAM not compatible with the Asus A8V?

I'm using an Asus A8V rev2 motherboard with the latest BIOS and a pair of Mushkin PC3200 Level2 256mb modules.

While in dual channel mode, I could not get WinXP to install at all with re-occuring BSODs when I try.
If I take one module out and use single channel mode, the XP installation works without a hiccup...... until I actually start using windows. Something as simple as right clicking on the task bar will reboot the system.

Yes I know there is a RAM compatibility list on Asus' site but it does not list any Mushkin branded RAM even though I've seen many users say they are using Mushkin without problems. The only other RAM I can buy in town is CL3 Kingston value ram.

So I was wondering if anyone else has any problems with their Mushkin RAM and this motherboard and if you have any advice on what I should do from here.
