Is my ram busted?

I overclocked my comp about two months ago now(thread here) and about a week ago I started experiencing blue screens and errors when playing WoW.

I investigated the problem and determined that it's ram related. I ran memtest and it failed instantly, I tweaked around my bios settings and tried it again, only getting the same result. So i loaded optimized defaults and ran it once again, but to my astonishment, it failed yet again. This doesn't make sense since I ran memtest a few times once I overclocked my system and it passed every time. I never had a problem with gaming or anything before either. I also never went over 2.9v which is I think what OCZ guarantees it up to. I inspected both of the ram chips and didn't see any visible damage either. Having used OCZ memory before(and overclocked) i've never experienced problems like this, and my overall system stability checks out. Prime95 and superpi don't report any errors, I can even play WoW up to a few hours before it crashes on me. I'm just confused at the moment, it would really suck if the ram is really fvcked up .

My specs are listed in my sig, any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I would use the board default settings for awhile, and see if the bluescreens disappear. Try running your memory at 2.6v. I gave up on overclocking. I prefer stability over an increase in benchmarks.

Well Ram could have just crapped out in use. Try the following to confirm:
- Set Ram to run SPD or Auto settings.
- Test(memtest) Ram ONE STICK at a time
- If one causes errors, the other doesn't, could be the stick or could be the channel.
- Test working Ram in channel or try screwy stick in other.
- If both sticks are screwy, try in another machine.

If you can confirm they're busted or one is then RMA:). Also, if you get lucky on one stick test it a few times(for hours) to be sure. Good luck.
