Is my Q9400 damaged?

Hi, I'm new.
I bought this cpu used some days ago, I see that some gold pins are darker than others:

I tried cleaning them but it's the same.

Do you think I should return the cpu because it's faulty?

Hi, I installed it in my computer yesterday and it seems to work.
I did 20 intel burn test and it passed.

Do you thinks it is ok or it's best to return it because it can give me problem in the future?

What's the function of gold contacts of cpu?

Only if you think it doesn't look pretty in there. In other words, it should be fine. I wouldn't return it.
