Is my psu too weak and old for a card upgrade?

I have an older dell and the specs I have now are:
P4 2.6ghz
1 gig ram
250w psu
ATI 9800 pro

Now my 9800 pro is near death and I was thinking about upgrading it to http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16814102762 to hold me for another year or so until I can maybe get a new system but from the reviews it says that the card eats power and I need at least a 350w psu to run it.

Since dells are hard to replace their PSUs and I dont want to spend 100+ to replace it. Is there a card that outperforms the 9800pro that will work in my aging system that is reliable?

I really mainly play WoW and oblivion. I'm looking looking to play crisis at full settings. I would just like something that might boost my perofrmance a bit in WoW and the games I play now that wont crap out on me in 3 months.

You won't be able to use a recent GPU like the 3000 series. You'll have to stick with the older 16xx series cards. Even then you may be pushing things a bit.

Then again it looks like this 2400 is right up your ally.

What mpilchfamily said: the 2400Pro is your best bet with an old Dell 250W PSU.
