Is my PS going to be ok???

I have a generic 250 watt PS and it run fine but i just added a second HDD and a CD-R to my system and it does not have enough connectors, so i leave my normal CD-ROM unconnected for now... is it safe to add a splitter or is the PS not designed for it??? thanks anandtechers!!!
