Is my power suppply dead?

About a year ago, i was using the 431 water Enermax power supply. One day, i decided to plug a fan into one of it's connectors while the system was running. I've done this a bajillion times before, and it had always worked. But this time, the damn molex connector sparked, and my system shut down. I wasn't able to turn the system back on 🙁 So, i replaced it with a 300w antec, which luckily worked. Anyways, do you think that power supply is dead? I really really don't want to have to buy another one if i replace my current cpu (1.4tbird).
