Is my P3-866 holding back a geforce 3 ti200?

I just installed my Geforce3 ti-200 (Yes the best buy one) and i haven't noticed much difference. I've been playing noone lives forever and it didn't seem any faster at all. My old card was a 32 meg geforce2 gts. Is my processor holding back the video card? I'm thinking about upgrading my system to Athlon xp 1xxx, but haven't decided if i really need to yet. I also played the AvP 2 demo and it didn't seem any better either. I'm going to do a reinsall and put winxp on instead of 2000, but was curious about the processor. I noticed that on anand's benchmarks he's using a p4-2ghz and doesn't seem to be quite maxing out the cards yet. Thanks, and hopefully this makes sense. 2am posts are fun 🙂
 
Your PIII 866 is definitely the bottleneck, that said you should still gain a very decent performance boost over the GTS even with your present processor.
 
(athlon 800): i went from a geforce 256sdr to a gts, big difference. then to a gf2 ultra, a little bit of difference. then to a gf3 ti200. no difference other than being able to run 3dmark2001's nature 🙂 time to upgrade 😛
