Is my old car worth fixing?

I have a 1994 Buick Lesabre. About 2 years ago during the winter it had major problems. The freeze plugs popped out and I think the head gasket blew. The radiator leaks really bad too. I think it would just be easier to go to an auto auction and get something a little newer and fix whatever I get up. I do like the 3.8 engine the Lesabre has in it. The engine has 230,000 miles on it.

I haven't been keeping up with what newer cars have as far as drive trains go. I want to stick with Chevy, maybe a Ford, but I doubt it.

TIA,

Perry

If it's been sitting for 2 years it's probably going to have more problems than the known ones with the engine - flat spots on the tires, siezed/corroded brake parts, internal corrosion of the brake lines from the fluid leeching humidity from the air, etc.

If it were me, I think I'd just sell it for parts or have it hauled away. Good chance that it'll cost way more to fix than what it's worth.

94 lesabre with a blown engine and radiator and it's spent the last two years accumulating dust? Haul that thing to the dump, it's finished.
Good chance that it'll cost way more to fix than what it's worth.
It's a guarantee and by a large amount!
