forgot to add another screenshotI finished building my first computer a few days ago, it's been up and running about 4 days now.
Antec 300
Gigabyte P67A-UD3P (Bios F6a AHCI enabled)
2500K
Hyper 212 Plus
OCZ Vertex 2 SSD 60GB
Samsung Spinpoint F3 HD502HJ 500GB
GSkill Ripjaws 4GB 4GBRL
Corsair 650TX
EVGA GeForce GTX 460 (Fermi)
Asus DVD
Win7 64bit
I haven't noticed any problems with the hdd. Currently the ssd has the os on it and the Samsung HD is used for data/storage.
Both drives were connected to the Sata2, ports 2 & 3. After hearing about the Intel issue I switched both drives to the Sata3, port 0 (ssd) & port 1 (hd).
I found out about HD Tune Pro and downloaded the trial version,
curiosity got the best of me and tested my Samsung Spinpoint F3 HD502HJ.
I don't really know how to interpret the graph so I don't know if the hd is good or not but from the results it looks like it's a bad drive.?
This is when the hd was connected to Sata2 port 3 i ran the test for about 5 minutes
Then i let the test run longer connected to the same port and this one shows it passed.
But after about 5 or 6 minutes it showed failed again.
This is when i connected the hd to Sata3 port 1
I'm wondering if the hd really is bad or could it be the mobo or is
the trial version of HD Tune Pro not reliable?
Is there something else i could test with?
Something that I need to set in bios?
Thanks for any help or advice.
